Whether it’s a hangover cure or just something you need to get done, a full English breakfast or ‘fry-up’ is an established English tradition. Copied everywhere around the world, it’s rarely even close to the wonderful plate of morning flavour than indeed ours is. So dig into the rich goodness of bacon, sunny side-ups, pork sausages and don’t forget black pudding, beans or kippers!

A restaurant as impeccably designed as this is a great conversation starter. Popular not just for the aesthetics, their quality and responsibly sourced menu is what draws the customers back.

Their English breakfast is quite a spectacle – it includes streaky bacon, pork and leek sausages, delicious meaty chorizo and ham, accompanied with wholemeal sourdough. E. Pellicci

Sporting art deco interiors with wood-panelled walls dating back to 1946, this Italian café is a slice of east end history. A family-run business, it’s a local favourite. Their breakfast menus are first rate and include greasy fry-ups served with chips, eggs, bacon and beans. Their desserts are also quite popular and include ‘Italian Ribena’, bread pudding Portuguese pasteis de nata.
